The former Qbic London hotel becomes The Corner London City

The 183-bedroom East London hotel is now welcoming guests, attracting local visitors as well as corporate travellers to one of London’s greenest corners.

The installation of slick new self-service check-in stations is one of many continual improvements to the technological and sustainable development of the property in line with RBH’s core values. The property’s notable green credentials will continue to evolve under RBH management, having already previously achieved an average of 41% less water consumption than other UK hotels, and 67% less CO2 emissions than industry average. It benefits from electric car charging points, endless innovative recycled installations from the local area and a team committed to uphold a reputation as London’s greenest hotel.

 

Our Hotels are Good to Go

The safety of our guests has always been the top priority. We now face new health challenges brought about by COVID-19 which require even higher standards of cleanliness. As we re-open our hotels, our teams have been through a period of enhanced training, with a focus on new hygiene standards. To help provide you with assurance and peace of mind, below are some of the key areas we are addressing:

  • Risk assessments have been completed for guest and staff safety in compliance with the very latest Government / Public Health England guidance.
  •  We have reconfigured public areas to ensure both staff and guests experience the highest standards of health and safety, including sneeze guards at reception, masks warn by Front of House staff and clear social distancing markers. There are enhanced cleaning practices across the hotels, with particular emphasis on the major touch points.
  • Hand sanitiser is available for guests and staff at key touch points.
  • Guest bedrooms will have additional attention to cleaning high touch points.
  • Room attendants will wear appropriately compliant PPE, with disposable items changed between cleaning each room.
  • Our Room service offering and menu has evolved to ensure maximum safety, with food freshly prepared in house.
  • We have also updated our 'Safe Meeting Policies' on Venue Directory in line with our brand and independent guidelines and procedures for all our hotels.
